The founding Directors continue to be practising State Registered Paramedics with a real passion for Emergency First Aid and Community based Defibrillation training.
It was, as working as front line paramedics in 2004, that we could see the need for real community basic life support and defibrillations schemes. The data in itself was shocking with just over 1% of out of hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrest Victims (SCA) surviving to be discharged from hospital. This, when compared to the likes Seattle in the USA, where approximately 50% of SCA victims lived to be discharged from hospital, it was clear that surviving this condition has a direct relationship with access to public basic life support and defibrillation.
Once upon a time, defibrillation and indeed first aid was considered the realm of Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics. This is not the case, you too can make the difference, and who better to teach you than those people who are the professionals in pre-hospital emergency first aid and defibrillation.
The Directors and all those paramedics and other healthcare professionals employed to deliver the training programmes by Emergency First Aid Solutions Ltd share the drive and enthusiasm that is at the heart of the organisation - Basic Life Support and Early Defibrillation is the responsibility of the community and employers.
